1957 Ford Thunderbird: Owned by the one family itís whole life! Starmist blue exterior, blue and white vinyl interior. Modern air-conditioning (blows cold) 292 ci. V8 engine, 3-speed Ford-O-Matic transmission, power steering, power brakes, NOS T-Bird rubber floor mats, Turbine wheel covers, driver side spot-light, radio, fender skirts, Port-hole hardtop + white canvas newer replacement convertible top and spare with jack. Body-off restoration was started in 2001 and finished sometime in 2003. Everything was apart and refurbished or replaced. A professional mechanic rebuilt the engine and transmission. It also has fender skirts and very nice refinished chrome and stainless steel at time of restoration (still presents great).
All the rubber weather seals on the car are really nice and still like new. For dependability and performance, the carb. troublesome original "smoke stack" was replaced with a 4bbl. Holly, along with a newer alternator and Firestone Radial Whitewalls. Has a modern radio installed, as well as new glass at restoration.
It has been driven very little since the restoration, in fact only 730 miles. The paint and bumpers are nice, but the paint has a few chips that have been nicely touched up. The gauges have stopped working probably due to sitting but the speedometer, Odometer, AC, radio and interior lights all work nicely. The passenger door needs to be adjusted in a little on the latch side of the door, we dont have a body shop to do those kind of adjustments. The undercarriage is as clean as the body. It starts and cranks easily. Comes with lots of restoration receipts, parts catalogs, dealer brochure and owners manual.
